Coordinator of the Nuevo León 4.0 Initiative
Abraham Tijerina Priego is Founding Coordinator of the Nuevo León 4.0 Citizen Initiative. Previously, he led the Innovation Management process at Metalsa, a world leader in the manufacture of structural components for light vehicles and commercial trucks. Between 1992 and 2019, he joined Metalsa as a Technology Engineer and over the years he developed the areas of Engineering and Product Technology, as well as integration and administration activities of the portfolio of innovation projects, the process of linking and of intellectual property of the organization, the conceptualization, design and establishment of the Center for Innovation and Development of Competitive Advantages of Metalsa in Michigan (USA) and the Research and Technological Innovation Park (PIIT) of Nuevo León, both dedicated to the development of technology and innovation for components, materials and manufacturing processes for automotive structures.
Abraham Tijerina is a Mechanical Engineer from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) and a Master in Mechanical Engineering with a Specialty in Design from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM). He has a Diploma in Senior Management from IPADE (D1) and has been a member of the American Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), of the Nuevo León Nanotechnology Cluster, of the “Industrial Research Institute ”(IRI), of the Automotive Cluster of Nuevo León (CLAUT), of the Council of the Center for Linkage and Technology Transfer (CVT) of CAINTRA and president of the international organization“ Intelligent Manufacturing System ”(IMS).
