Eduardo Mauricio Eguiguren is an Engineer in Agricultural Industries from the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja, Ecuador; Master in Technology of the Sugar Industry, from the Universidad José Antonio Echeverría de Ciudad de la Habana, Cuba; MBA in Entrepreneurship and Family Business from the School of Business Administration of the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, Spain. He is a certified Innovation Manager by AEC (2013) and by the Inter-American Organization for Higher Education(2018).
Since 1996 he has held management positions in private companies related to food and services. His experience with the public sector was obtained in the Provincial Government of
As an entrepreneur, he has created four initiatives, one of which remains in the market, within the framework of a family business with a presence in the regional market and another is in the product validation stage. He was also Vice President of the Chamber of Industries of Loja in two consecutive periods (2007-2009).
At the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja he was initially linked to the Business Development Agency – ADE, by its initials in Spanish, then as Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Chair, in the Innovation Directorate, of the Vice-Rectorate for Research. Currently, he works as Coordinator of prototyping services at the Prendho Entrepreneurship Center of this University.
He has also been part of the team that designed the proposal for the creation of the Technological Science Park – UTPL and its relationship with the International Association of Science Parks and Innovation Areas (IASP, by its initials in Spanish).
