He has more than 15 years of experience in different countries of the region on issues of development and articulation of productive chains and strengthening of local development, generation of spaces for public-private dialogue for the construction and implementation of sectoral public policies. He also has extensive experience in the management, implementation and administration of projects to strengthen the competitiveness of countries in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation, strengthening trade and attracting investment, and implementation of good corporate governance practices in public companies. and private.
He has served as Advisor to the Directorate of Foreign Investment and Services in the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Colombia, being part of the negotiating team in the framework of the negotiations of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the United States, with Chile and with the Central American countries of the Northern Triangle. He worked in the Directorate of Competitiveness of the Ministry of Commerce of Colombia working as Manager of Export Competitiveness Agreements in the tourism sector and in the area of engineering and consulting services.
He obtained his Civil Engineering degree from the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, and later did a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Erasmus University, Rotterdam School of Management, in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. In Colombia he participated as a lecturer in specialization courses in business management, and as a full professor at the Sergio Arboleda University.
